Οι υποψηφιότητες για τα βραβεία Grammy 2009, που θα πραγματοποιηθούν τον Φεβρουάριο ανακοινώθηκαν την Τετάρτη 3/12 σε μια ειδική συναυλία με live εμφανίσεις από Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Foo Fighters, Celine Dion, B.B. King, John Mayer και Taylor Swift.

Η Christina Aguilera εμφανίστηκε live κάνοντας μια καταπληκτική διασκευή στο "I Love You Porgy" της Nina Simone ενώ η Mariah Carey τραγούδησε το "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)".

Βραβεία Grammy
Ποιοι ήταν οι τυχεροί της βραδιάς;

Χθες βράδυ έγινε η μεγάλη τελετή των βραβείων Grammy στο Λος Άντζελες και μεγάλος νικητής αναδείχτηκε ο Ρόμπερτ Πλαντ, τραγουδιστής των Led Zeppelin, με 5 βραβεία συνολικά.

Τα φετινά Grammy ήταν -σχεδόν- αφιερωμένα στον Ρόμπερτ Πλαντ. Με 5 βραβεία δεν μπορεί παρά να ανακηρυχτεί ο μεγάλος νικητής

Οι Coldplay όταν ανέβηκαν στη σκηνή για παραλάβουν ένα από τα βραβεία τους

Τη βραδιά άνοιξαν οι U2 παρουσιάζοντας το νέο τους τραγούδι με τίτλο «Get On Your Boots». Ακολούθησαν δύο βραβεία για τους Coldplay, για το Kαλύτερο τραγούδι και το Kαλύτερο άλμπουμ, ενώ ως Πρωτοεμφανιζόμενη της χρονιάς βραβεύτηκε η Αντέλ. Η Βρετανίδα τραγουδίστρια αναδείχτηκε και Καλύτερη γυναικεία φωνή της ποπ για το τραγούδι της «Chasing Pavements».

Η Τζένιφερ Χάντσον έζησε ένα δράμα τους τελευταίους μήνες λόγω της δολοφονίας της αδελφής και της μητέρας της και η λαμπερή παρουσία της συγκίνησε όλους τους παρευρισκόμενους, ειδικά τη στιγμή που ανέβηκε στη σκηνή για να παραλάβει το βραβείο του Καλύτερου R&B άλμπουμ. Ευχαρίστησε την οικογένειά της και το Θεό που τη βοήθησε να «βγει» από το δράμα που ζούσε τον τελευταίο καιρό. Στη σκηνή ανέβηκε άλλη μία φορά για να τραγουδήσει το «You Pulled Me Through».

Μία από τις ιδιαίτερες δηλώσεις της βραδιάς ήταν αυτή του Τζον Μέιερ, αγαπημένου της Τζένιφερ Άνιστον και νικητή της βραδιάς. «Το 99% της ζωής μου είναι απoλύτως συνηθισμένο. Έχω ένα χρυσό ελικόπτερο. Πάω με αυτό στο Μαλιμπού. Αλλά, αν εξαιρέσεις αυτό, θεωρώ τον εαυτό μου ίδιο με όλους τους άλλους».

Η Κιμ Καρντάσιαν και η Σίντι Λόπερ σ' ένα από τα πάρτι που γίνονται στο πλαίσιο των βραβείων

Το πάρτι πριν από την απονομή επέλεξε η Γουίτνεϊ Χιούστον για την επιστροφή της στη μουσική βιομηχανία με μια εμφάνιση που δεν θυμίζει σε τίποτα την άσχημη κατάσταση στην οποία βρισκόταν τον τελευταίο καιρό. «Δεν θέλω να σκέφτομαι τον εαυτό μου ως εθισμένο. Είχα μια κακή συνήθεια και τώρα τελείωσε» απάντησε η Γουίτνεϊ στους δημοσιογράφους, ενώ ο Τζέιμι Φοξ ευχήθηκε αυτή η εμφάνισή της να είναι η αρχή μιας νέας λαμπερής καριέρας για μία από τις καλύτερες φωνές των 90s.
